WHO WE ARE
At Moko Club Huntly, our aim is to prepare children on their journey into education by providing a positive and nurturing environment that teaches through play. We integrate Māori culture into our teachings to help them understand Aotearoa heritage. Our goal is to empower children and create a supportive community with their families through our Huntly Early Childhood Centre.
Why Our Huntly Childcare Centre?
Moko Club Huntly is an Early Childhood Education Centre, based in Huntly, waikato New Zealand, in which we provide 20 Free ECE Hours for children aged 3-5. We believe tamariki should play and have fun, while also learning about Māori culture. The Māori philosophy of kaitiakitanga, caring for the environment, others and ourselves is our guiding framework. Our Philosophy is represented through the Maori concept of Kaitiakitanga, providing an environment that is positive, nurturing, and welcoming, where our Tamariki and Whanau feel empowered and have a sense of belonging.

We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

What are your opening hours?Moko Club Huntly is open Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 4:45pm. We are closed on public holidays.

Do you offer 30 free ECE hours?Yes. Eligible 3–5-year-olds can access up to 20 hours of free Early Childhood Education funded by the Ministry of Education. We also offer up to an additional 10 hours free per week, depending on availability and your booking schedule.

Do you provide transportation?Yes! We offer a free shuttle service. Pick-up: 8:30am–9:30am Drop-off: 2:30pm–3:30pm Bookings are essential.
